Representative Darrell Issa, currently serving California’s 48th district in the U.S. Congress, used his Twitter account this week to criticize judicial decisions, comment on television personality Stephen Colbert, and address enforcement of immigration laws.
On July 22, Issa posted a critique of recent court rulings: “Another day, another rogue ruling by activist judges ignoring the Constitution. We can stop this! https://t.co/4Nkz3DTJCp https://t.co/zLg47QsMep”.
The following day, July 23, Issa commented on Stephen Colbert’s political affiliation and business dealings: “Of course Stephen Colbert is a Democrat: He’s demanding to be rewarded while he’s losing millions of other people’s money.”
Later that same day, Issa addressed violence against federal agents enforcing immigration laws: “Anyone who tries to hurt or kill our federal agents enforcing immigration laws must pay the price. https://t.co/fJVc9BiULA”
Issa has represented California’s 48th District since 2021 after succeeding Duncan D. Hunter. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953, Issa is 69 years old and resides in San Diego. He earned a BA from Siena Heights University in 1976.
