The Tijuana River sewage crisis has been a longstanding issue affecting the region, with efforts to resolve it proving difficult over the years. A recent breakthrough has been announced by Congressman Darrell Issa, who praised the Trump Administration and its Environmental Protection Agency for their actions in addressing the crisis.
“The Tijuana River sewage crisis has not only plagued our region for generations, it has also proved resistant to reform and grown worse over time,” stated Issa. He emphasized that immediate steps were taken upon taking office, involving collaboration with regional partners and engagement with the Mexican government.
Issa highlighted the administration’s refusal to accept past failures and their commitment to developing a lasting solution. He acknowledged Administrator Zeldin and his team for their efforts in delivering significant change swiftly. “I congratulate my friend and longtime colleague Administrator Zeldin and his team for insisting this could be done and delivering lasting change in record time.”
