Rep. Darrell Issa, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 48th district since 2021, posted several statements on his social media accounts addressing topics including the Biden administration and immigration policy.

On July 21, 2025, Issa commented on President Joe Biden’s capacity for office by sharing, “Hunter Biden making it perfectly clear that Joe Biden was not up to the job of president.”

Later the same day, Issa addressed concerns regarding sanctuary cities and crime. He wrote, “In a sanctuary city, no one is safe from criminal illegals.” The following day, July 22, he followed up with another post related to immigration enforcement: “Another step in winning the fight against illegal immigration.”

Darrell Issa has served as a member of Congress since replacing Duncan D. Hunter in 2021. Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1953 and currently residing in San Diego, Issa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Siena Heights University (1976).
